Magdalena Kozena, singing Bach, the only one today has the strengh to make convincing the appeal of human soul to God, and therefore it sounds in vain even the most beautifull by her performed the appeal of human soul to human.(for example as in the music of Haendel)

Higly inspired words which i do share willingly, tired of senseless chat of mindless fans. Thank you.
Indeed, there is no diva except Magdalena Kozena nowadays capable to make Bach's cantatas so enjoyably convincing.

Magdalena MUST sing BACH. J.S.
Magdalena MUST through Bach praise God and not to lose precious time with contemporary projects and experiments.

In 2000 John Eliot Gardiner performed all the Bach cantatas in his cantata pilgrimage project and Magdalena was involved in some of the recordings.

Now there is a new release "Cantatas Vol. 3" as a double-CD from the SDG label (no. 141).

The first CD contains the three cantatas BWV 24, 185 and 177 as a live recording from Tewkesbury Abbey on 16.07.2000 with Magdalena.

The second CD adds BWV 71, 131, 93 and 88 as live recordings from Blasiuskirche Mühlhausen without Magdalenas appearance.

If you like more informations on this CD or the whole project please visit the www.monteverdiproductions.co.uk website:

SDG 141 Volume 3 (2 cds) contains:

Cantatas for the Fourth Sunday after Trinity

BWV 24 - Ein ungefärbt Gemüte

BWV 177 - Ich ruf zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ

(recorded: Tewkesbury Abbey)

Thank you a lot, Michael. It is very interesting for me to know it, because I would probably never pay attention to this disc due to its inappropriate cover.

I also believe that Magdalena appeared for Bach. Her singing of Bach is unique. I wish her to record more Bach (and also on DVD) .

I also think that it is true. I think, that Magdalena was born for singing Bach! But indeed spends her life and talent in vain! Singing everything without a sense of choice, without understanding her place.

Again Magdalena can be heard on a CD from John Eliott Gardiner's famous Bach Cantatas Series. They've announced the volume 11 (SDG 168) for June 2010.

Thank you again, Michael! I've found a wonderful aria on Vol. 11. It is a great pity that Magdalena does not have any new Bach recordings!
