In 2016, I decided to give all my support to the artistic and musical education of children, which, like sport, I consider essential for shaping a child's personality. My goal is to support and raise the profile of the unique system of Primary Art Schools that provides quality and widely available instruction. I believe this decision was one of the best steps in my life. We managed to build a great foundation team that prepares the already established ZUŠ Open and MenArt nationwide projects. Thanks to the existing patrons, the foundation team can work towards fulfilling the stated mission. However, we have come to a point where the circle of supporters must be expanded. Only thus will we be able to tap the enormous potential that this initiative offers. The benefit concert is meant to be my personal thanks to all who are willing to support us in our foundation endeavour, whether on one-time or long-term basis. In a programme of songs by Czech authors, compiled exclusively for this evening, I will be accompanied by my precious colleague, the excellent pianist Ohad Ben-Ari.
The January concert is a very personal matter for me: I want to express how much I value people who help selflessly, and how much great importance I attach to giving children the opportunity to approach art and music from a truly young age. Only then will it become an integral part of their lives, which will then become incommensurably richer and happier.
Symbolically, anyone who buys a ticket for this benefit evening will become a donator.
Looking forward to seeing you at Prague's Rudolfinum
