Yesterday, a press conference of the Magdalena Kožená Foundation, prepared in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, took place at the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic. Magdalena, as the founder of the fund and patron of the nationwide ZUŠ Open festival, together with the director of the fund Irena Pohl Houkalová presented the key projects of the foundation; the conference was also attended by the executive director of AZUŠ CR Ivona Křivánková, the Minister of Education Mikuláš Bek and the Deputy Minister of Culture David Kašpar. The press conference was hosted by the General Director of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra David Mareček, who has been a co-patron of the Fund's activities from the very beginning.
The press conference was mainly devoted to the programme of this year's ninth edition of the nationwide festival ZUŠ Open, which will take place until 6 June. The opening benefit concert in Magdalena's presence will take place on Wednesday 14 May 2025 at the Church of Sts. Cyril and Methodius on Karlínské náměstí in Prague.
